WVU Drops One Spot to No. 7 in AP Hoops Poll

By Connect-Bridgeport Staff on January 22, 2018 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

Despite going 1-1 on the week with a home loss to Kansas a week ago followed by a home win Saturday against Texas, West Virginia University's men's basketball team didn't drop too much in the Associated Press poll. In fact, the Mountaineers went from No. 6 to No. 7 in the latest standings.

The Mountaineers can improve on that as they visit Texas Christian University this evening (Jan. 22) and then host Kentucky Saturday. The Wildcats are unranked for the first time since 2014.
