After falling to Texas Christian University last Monday and dropping a non-conference game at home to Kentucky Saturday, West Virginia University's men's basketball team dropped to 16-5 on the year. Because of that, the team also dropped in the standings of the Associated Press.
The Mountaineers fell from No. 7 to No. 15 with the setbacks. The voters still showed WVU plenty of respect as they are the highest-ranked team in the country with five losses.
Villanova remains No. 1 in the poll. Four teams from the Big 12 are in the standings.
