Thanks to back-to-back wins this past week, the West Virginia University men's basketball team is once again ranked among the top 10 teams in the country. After spending a week as the No. 12 team in the Associated Press poll, this week WVU finds itself ranked at No. 10.

The upgrade came after getting a home win last Monday by a 77-62 score against Texas and coming back Saturday with another win. On Saturday, the Mountaineers upended homestanding Texas Christian University by a 61-60 score.

Big 12 foe Kansas is the new No. 1 team. The Jayhawks won their games this past week, while previously unbeaten Gonzaga dropped its first game Saturday and fell from No. 1 to No. 4 and No. 2 Villanova lost as well. The Wildcats, however, remained No. 2.

UCLA is the new No. 3. After Gonzaga at No.4, North Carolina moves in to the No. 5 spot. The rest of the top 10 in front of WVU - in order - includes Oregon, Arizona, Louisville and Kentucky.

The 23-6 Mountaineer are back in action tonight. WVU will play its final regular season road game at Baylor at 7 p.m. They will then return for their final regular season home game Friday against Iowa State, also at 7 p.m.
