WVU Ranked No. 17 in Preseason AP Football Poll

A year after going 7-6, West Virginia University got a little bit of love from journalists that cover college football. The Mountaineers were ranked at the No. 17 spot in the preseason Associated Press college football poll, according to CBSsports.com.
Oklahoma, at No. 7, and Texas Christian University at No.16 are the only Big 12 teams ranked ahead of WVU. Texas is the only other Big 12 school ranked and they come in at No. 23.
Defending national champion Alabama is the No. 1 team. The Crimson Tide is followed by Clemson.
