According to his Twitter account, West Virginia University junior linebacker David Long will forego his senior season and enter the NFL draft for the upcoming season.

Long, an Ohio native, was a force on a Mountaineer defense that faced struggles in several games this year. In fact, Long was named the Big 12 defensive player of the year. He finished the year with 111 tackles.

The announcement comes two days after WVU's Camping World Bowl loss to Syracuse. Long said he would make a decision after the game and that decision came via social media this morning.
