WVU's Mike Carey Suspends Member of Nationally Ranked Women's Team for Indefinite Period of Time

West Virginia University women’s basketball coach Mike Carey has suspended forward Kayla Montgomery indefinitely for a violation of team rules.
Montgomery, a junior transfer from Gulf Coast State, has played in the Mountaineers’ first four games. She has averaged 0.5 points and 1.0 rebounds in 23 minutes of action.
No. 22/21 WVU resumes action on Saturday, November 29 against Fairfield. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
