WVU's Smallwood Facing Extradition for Alleged Intimidation of Murder Witness

The news out of Morgantown relating to the West Virginia University football program is not good. According to MetroNews.com, sophomore running back Wendell Smallwood was arrested by WVU Campus Police Monday.
 
Smallwood, expected to be a key  piece to West Virginia’s offense this fall, faces extradition to his home state of Delaware where he will be charged with witness intimidation stemming from a 2012 murder case. According to the DelawareOnline.com, Police said the 20-year-old Smallwood repeatedly attempted to “convince a witness to recant statements implicating his friend who’s charged with first-degree murder.”
