Welcome to West Virginia, where even our biggest cities hide beautiful nature scenes. For example, tucked away in Morgantown, West Virginia, is an urban park with a remarkable hidden treasure: its very own cascading waterfall.

White Park, a 170-acre nature haven in the middle of the city, is home to scenic Cobun Creek Reservoir. At the bottom of the reservoir, Cobun Creek tumbles out of the lake in a picturesque, cascading waterfall, forming an amazing piece of natural beauty hidden in the middle of a bustling city.

White Park, managed by the Morgantown Board of Parks and Recreation with the help of volunteers, offers many opportunities for recreation and enjoyment. On the grounds you'll find several athletic fields and courts, a shelter and other picnic areas, a playground, and restrooms.

The park also features the Morgantown Ice Arena, where the community and the public can ice skate in the winter and play basketball, volleyball, and lacrosse in the warmer months.

The surrounding wooded areas of the park are crisscrossed by a network of well-maintained trails perfect for strolling, hiking, or mountain biking.
