Legendary Frankie Avalon Headline Performer for 38th Annual West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival

According to the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival's Web site and Facebook page, this year's Saturday evening headline entertainer will be the legendary Frankie Avalon. Avalon, who has previously appeared at the festival that is in its 38th year, is known for having more than one number one hit on the Billboard Top 100 and a total of 31 during his career.
 
His hit "Venus" was his lengthiest song at No. 1. He also sang the well-known "Beauty School Dropout" in the hit musical "Grease" and also appeared in the movie.
 
He will appear on Sept. 3. As always, the entertainment is free.
