Fish Hawk Acres started as a family farm that has expanded to a market, cafe, and custom catering service.

Longtime friends Dale Hawkins and Teresa Lipps, the co-owners of Fish Hawk, established the brand in 2007 and in 2015, opened their storefront on Main Street in Buckhannon.

"It's about getting in touch with the flavors and where the food comes from. It's a good feeling when you see people enjoying your food," Hawkins said.

The cafe serves rotating daily specials and has a small menu of sandwiches and burgers, as well as a variety of pastries.

"I like the chicken salad sandwich, the flank steak sandwich...Dale does everything well," said Jerry O'Loughlin.

"We have been long-time fans of Chef Dale Hawkins, he actually catered my wedding 17 years ago and it's just been amazing to watch his journey," said Abigail Benjamin.

Chef Hawkins uses farm-fresh ingredients as often as possible in his flavorful, creative dishes.

"In the summertime, we have a lot of fresh produce and we try to incorporate as much local product as we can," Hawkins said.
