Another City Establishment Serving Food has Closed, this One Located at Charles Pointe Development

While businesses are still opening up all across Bridgeport, the past few weeks have seen a few of them close their doors. The most recent one that has closed up is at the Charles Pointe development.

Last month, the Tim Hortons Café & Bake Shop situated inside the BFS station near the entry to the development off of Jerry Dove Drive announced they were no longer in business. A sign going into the main entrance of the convenience store and gas station that also houses a Little Caesar’s and Dairy Queen announces the closing.

According to the sign, the Tim Hortons located on Emily Drive is still open. That business is situated in the Newpointe Plaza. The Tim Hortons located at the BFS just off of Route 50 on Wilsonburg Road is also still open, according to a staff member there.

The one at Charles Pointe, however, is not so fortunate. As for the reason for shutting it down, it’s an unknown. An official for BFS Connect-Bridgeport was directed to contact for information regarding Tim Hortons, which the individual said falls under the BFS umbrella of businesses, did not return phone calls.

A worker at the Bridgeport location said they weren’t aware of any new businesses going into the location at this time.

Although not their business, an official with Genesis Partners also did not return a phone call. Genesis Partners is responsible for the development of Charles Pointe.

Tim Hortons offered multiple food items, including sandwiches and soups. They also offered up fresh pastry and donuts.

According to the Bridgeport Finance Department, it opened Dec. 1 of 2014.

The closing comes on the heels of another Bridgeport establishment that served food closing its doors. Last week, Connect-Bridgeport reported that Hermosilla’s Deli at White Oaks closed. A representative from the business posted a Facebook video of the reasons for closing, which can be viewed in the article by clicking HERE.

In the event new information is released, it will be posted on Connect-Bridgeport.
