The morning commute along Meadowbrook Road and those utilizing the back entrance to the FBI CJIS facility was a little bit delayed due to a two-vehicle accident that was responded to by local emergency service personnel.

According to Bridgeport Fire Chief Phil Hart, the accident took place near the Meadowbrook Road intersection with Custer Hollow Road, which is the back entrance to the FBI. The accident led to some minor traffic woes, which Hart said was handled by Bridgeport Police and members of the FBI Police, which are located on site at the facility.

“Both drivers refused transport by the Bridgeport Fire Department,” Hart said. “If they were suffering from injuries, if any, they were minor.”

The damage did require the vehicles to be towed from the scene. Dan Riggs Towing handled the removal. Most of the damage was confined to the front end of both vehicles - one of which was a Subaru and the other of which was a Chevrolet. The impact strong enough to cause airbag deployment.

Bridgeport Police were investigating the incident. The call came into the Harrison County 911 office at 6:32 a.m.
