Bridgeport Police are hoping to slow down an increase of incidents at an area gas station and are asking the public for their help in locating an individual located in a recent shoplifting there.

According to Bridgeport PFC C.B. Sayers, the alleged shoplifting occurred Sept. 9 at 8:30 a.m. The location of the incident was the still relatively new BFS gas station and plaza just off the Saltwell Road exit off of Interstate 79.

“The male suspect is wearing a camouflage jacket, dark blue and gray West Virginia hat, and long khaki or jean shorts,” said Sayers. “He appears to have a mustache and be unshaven.”

Sayers said the item open and concealed was a small Bluetooth speaker. Images of the incident and the suspect shown here were taken from surveillance footage.

If anyone can identify this male, they are asked to call Sayers at 304-848-6125 and not there, leave a message. Individuals can also email information to csayers@bridgeportwv.com

“Incidents are increasing at this location and we want to put a stop to these as quickly as possible,” said Sayers. “The public had been a tremendous help in the past and we appreciate all they do for us.”
