Bridgeport Police Hoping Public Can Help Identify Male Suspect for Theft at New White Oaks Business

A new multi-million-dollar business at White Oaks is, unfortunately, already having to deal with criminal activity on their property and the Bridgeport Police Department is hoping you can assist in locating the individual(s) that may be involved.

According to Bridgeport Police Officer K.M. Burgess, he had an individual arrive at the department’s Main Street station on Oct. 14 to report a grill had been stolen from the company he works for. The company was the Harmony at White Oaks, a new assisted living facility at the sprawling development just off Interstate 79.

“The complainant informed me that (the alleged perpetrator) does not work for Harmony at White Oaks and there was not supposed to be anyone on the property at that time,” said Burgess.

The crime took place on Oct. 13. The time stamp is around 6:50 p.m.

Burgess was able to obtain video footage of one individual shown in the area in question. There are also images taken from the footage of the pickup truck in question with the grill shown in the bed of the truck.

“I’m hoping someone knows someone that looks similar to that individual that also drives a truck similar to that one,” said Burgess.

Burgess said he was not able to determine the make or model of the truck or get a registration number. If you think you can assist with any information, Burgess can be contacted via email at kburgess@bridgeportwv.com or he can be called at 304—848-6121. If he does not answer, you are asked to leave a message.
