Bridgeport Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a vehicle that is allegedly involved in the shooting of a Main Street business and perhaps others. According to Officer J.M Holley, video stills from a window shooting may be able to help.

“On the evening of July 22, Third Millennium Marketing had one of the windows shots with a nut that we were able to find from an unknown type of device,” said Holley.

The nut didn’t knock the window out, but it did shatter it significantly in an area by the door fronting Main Street. The shooting, Holley said based on video, took place at 11:09 p.m.

“We were able, by reviewing video from Third Millennium, to get a pretty good description of the vehicle,” said Holley. “Unfortunately, you can’t read the license plate due to the glare. It eliminated the ability to see it.”

However, the video does give a pretty good idea of what police are looking for. Holley said it appears to be a late 1990s model Cadillac Deville. It is either white or cream in color and Holley said it has a sunroof and part of the passenger side brake light burned out.

“This is the fourth time Third Millennium has been hit. I can’t say if it’s the same group that is responsible, but I can say that several businesses have been hit along the Main Street corridor by individuals using the same method,” said Holley.

Holley said from watching the video, you can see the individual use the device to fire the nut at the window. He said he believes, since the shot came from the passenger side, that there appears to be two individuals in the car.

“I can’t say that number is accurate, but that is what we believe to be the case that there are at least two in the car,” said Holley.

If the car looks familiar to you or you have any information, contact Holley. He can be reached at 304-848-6112.
