Bridgeport Police are dealing with another incident that they hope the public can help on. This time, the case is at the Meadowbrook Mall, according to Bridgeport Police Officer Bart Sayers.

According to Sayers, the incident took place is the striking of an unattended vehicle on July 28 at roughly 3:30 p.m. The incident took place in the parking lot at Target.

“Any time someone strikes a vehicle they need to make their information available to the victim,” said Sayers.

That didn’t happen in this situation. Because of that, the police used surveillance footage to get an image of the suspect as well as the suspect’s vehicle.

The woman in question is an older female, Sayers said. He said the age could be between 60 and 80 years old.

“The suspect vehicle appears to be a 2002-2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer sport utility vehicle,” said Sayers. “It is black in color.”

The Trailblazer struck a blue minivan. The incident, he said was right in front of the Target store.

“It appears she was trying to park in the parking spot next to the victim’s minivan. No one was inside the victim’s minivan (at the time of the incident),” Sayers said.

If anyone has any information on who the suspect is or who they believe it might be, Sayers is asking the public to contact him. He can be reached 304-848-6125.

If Sayers doesn’t answer, you are asked to leave a message with any information that may be helpful. Also, if you believe you recognize the vehicle you are also asked to contact Sayers.

Sayers can also be reached by email. Individuals can email him at csayers@bridgeportwv.com.

“The quality of the pictures are low, but hopefully the public can once again help victim out,” said Sayers.
