Decades-Old Restaurant at Eastpointe Shuts Doors, but Setting Stage for New Location at Development

One of the longest-standing restaurants at Eastpointe that has been open for decades has shut down its location. While that may seem like bad news, the shut down at Eastpointe is only temporary.

A City of Clarksburg official confirmed that Little Caesars pizza has ceased operations at their decades-long location at 158 Emily Drive. While that seems disheartening, it is not.

Clarksburg Finance Director Kim Karakiozis said the business is getting a new home at the development. And it is not going too far.

“It will be relocating to 134 Emily Drive,” said Karakiozis. The sign on the former location says it is moving “just around the corner.”

According to Karakiozis, the start of work to get the new site done is not known. However, she said payment for the permit, which arrived to the city via email Friday, April 12, was expected to be paid for Monday.

“The total construction is to be $298,600,” she said. “It should take seven to eight weeks to complete.”

The contractor is Commercial Builders Inc of WV out of Morgantown.

Attempts to reach corporate officials was unsuccessful. However, an employee at the Milford Street location in Clarksburg backed Karakiozis and said that the plan is to have the new site open in June of this year.
