Harrison County's "Gramma and Ginga" Set to Make Second Appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Tonight

For those of you not getting a chance to see “Gramma and Ginga” last week go from Harrison County’s Facebook celebrities to national and even worldwide celebrities thanks to an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show from Hollywood, there’s no need to worry.

The Clarksburg sisters – Gramma is 102-year-old Genevieve Musci and Ginga is 97-year-old Arlene Cody Bashnett – will make their second appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show tonight, according to grandson and nephew Frank Fumich.

During last week’s initial appearance, Kimmel asked the duo to return to the show if they wanted to do an assignment. That assignment was to watch HBO’s “Game of Thrones” and give a review of the show.

“They’re watching a taped version of the show today,” said Fumich. “I would imagine their reaction is going to be somewhere between shock and completely uninterested. Whatever it is, if everything goes as planned, they’ll let Jimmy Kimmel know about it tonight.”

The pair was invited to show up live last week via a Cisco internet connection from the sisters’ home in North View to the big screen at Kimmel’s Hollywood show. Kimmel made the invitation after watching videos of the two sisters – known for their arguing, honesty and sometimes salty language – made them Facebook celebrities. Right now, more than a quarter million people follow their page.

“At first, I thought maybe they wouldn’t enjoy themselves or would have a take it or leave it attitude about. They’ve actually had so much fun that I know they’re enjoying it,” said Fumich. “The feedback has been incredible too.”

Fumich said they’ve had responses from all 50 states and multiple counties from New Zealand to Kuwait. In fact, he said Gramma and Ginga have received gifts from all over including head scarves from Kuwait. Kimmel also sent both of them flowers.

“It’s unbelievable. We can hardly believe what started out as us texting videos of them amongst our families has led to something where they’re now known worldwide,” said Fumich.

And Fumich said he anticipates Ginga to continue flirting with Kimmel. Ginga continually told Kimmel how good looking he was and that she would “like to take him home with her.”

Fumich said there’s a chance Ginga could make Kimmel her fifth husband.

“She just might try to do that, but I’m not sure he or anyone else could handle her,” said Fumich with a laugh. “I guess we’ll see what happens tonight. Barring something going wrong technically they’re all set for their second appearance.”

The Jimmy Kimmel Live show airs on ABC affiliates. It begins at 11:35 p.m.
