The suspect car has been located. The owner of the car has been talked to by the Bridgeport Police Department.

 

Hopefully, according to Officer J.M. Holley, there could soon be an arrest or some type of resolution in the case involving the shooting out of windows of at least one Main Street business on several occasions; the last of which occurred the evening of July 22. By that time, the business in question – Third Millennium – on Main Street had video surveillance after it had been victimized more than once.

 

The video produced unique footage. Although no license plate could be seen, the unique features of the vehicle led Holley to believe someone would be able to identify it. He was correct.

 

“We had a lot of feedback from the photos of the vehicle in question and we certainly appreciate the public’s help in allowing us to locate the vehicle,” said Holley.

 

Not only was there plenty of feedback, but Lt. Detective Gary Weaver said there was something else about it that was hard to overlook. Weaver said the feedback was consistent.

 

Part of the reason for Holley’s optimism stemmed from the fact that the car appeared to be a 1990s model Cadillac Deville that was white or cream in color. Holley said it has a sunroof and part of the passenger side brake light burned out. As mentioned, the car in question was found.

 

“We have not made an arrest at this point. The owner claims not to have been in Bridgeport that evening and right now everything is circumstantial,” said Holley.

 

However, the investigation is continuing.  Holley said other incidents, including at least one in another jurisdiction, could prove beneficial.

 

“I feel comfortable we’ll have a resolution to this case,” said Holley.
