A two-vehicle accident along Meadowbrook Road not far past the back entrance to the FBI CJIS facility resulted in one vehicle needing medical transport, according to Bridgeport Police Department PFC R.L. Schuessler.

 

The wreck took place late this morning and involved a Nissan Rogue and a Ford F-250 pickup. The Rogue got the worst of the accident.

 

“The entire (driver’s side) door was sheared off in the accident,” said Schuessler.

 

The driver of the Rogue was the individual needing to be transported to United Hospital Center due to injuries sustained in the incident. Bridgeport Fire Lt. Richard McGuire said that the injuries were not of the life-threatening variety.

 

Due to the location of the accident, traffic was backed up along Meadowbrook Road for some time. Bridgeport emergency service personnel handled the traffic flow.

 

The Bridgeport Fire Department and Police Department handled the case. The Bridgeport EMS assisted on the scene and handled the medical transport.

 

The Bridgeport Police Department is investigating the incident. Schuessler is in charge of the investigation.
