Patrick Marozzi has always called Harrison County home. His work home, for the last several years, was in Clarksburg.

 

As of last week, Marozzi will still be calling Harrison County home. As of last week, however, his new work home is in Bridgeport.

 

Marozzi will be heading up the new Bridgeport location of Advantage Technology. The business is located at Charles Pointe and adds to the diversity of entities doing business at the development.

 

“We’re glad to be at the new location and ready to serve the community,” said Marozzi.

 

According to Joe Justice, the marketing director for Advantage Technology, the company is a full-service IT company. He said if it involves technology, then Advantage can likely assist you as needed.

 

“We handle everything from software to servers, software development, network installation, cabling, emails and issues related to emails … basically a complete nuts and bolts solution business that will work with firms large and small,” said Justice. “We’ll be glad to work with a single entrepreneur to dealing with Fortune 500 companies.”

 

According to their Web site, Advantage Technology has been in business for more than 15 years and “has been providing IT services and solutions. With offices in Charleston, Shepherdstown, and Morgantown, WV, as well Williamsport, MD, and Lexington, KY, Advantage Technology services companies in West Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region along with clients in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio, and Canada.”

 

Why the move to Bridgeport?

 

“We see the Bridgeport area as a strategic location for us. We consider ourselves the best IT company in West Virginia and we want to make our services accessible to all. The central location to do that out of is Bridgeport,” said Justice.

 

Marozzi, for the time being, is a one-man show in Bridgeport with new hires likely on the way. He’s part of a group of nearly 100 total works that includes more than 80 technicians.

 

“We do plan on growing that number, particularly as we grow business in central West Virginia,” said Justice. “From that area, almost all of our technicians are only a few hours away.”

 

Marozzi said the company was in Clarksburg for a little more than a year. He said that location was open in May of 2018 and the growth mode has them in space already suited for growth at Charles Pointe. And he points to a key contract for that being able to happen.

 

“We have a K-through-12 contract with the state Board of Education and that had a lot do with a focus here. I believe it’s a big driver for looking to expand in Bridgeport,” said Marozzi. “Everyone, especially myself, is excited to get this going and watch it grow.”
