Photos: City Council Honors Bridgeport Youth Football Midget Team for Capturing Recent Championship

Although it was a relatively quick Bridgeport City Council meeting Monday, there was a packed house on hand. And that was because one of the city's championship sports teams was being recognized by the city's governing body.
Parents, other family members, friends, coaches and players involved with Bridgeport's youth Midget Football team were in Council chambers as they were recognized for capturing a 2016 championship. Mayor Robert "Bob" Greer read a proclamation that was presented to the team and then each player, as well as members of the coaching staff, were given a key to the city.
