Editor's Note: This story ran Nov. 11 on Connect-Bridgeport. Since that time, Peasak has relocated the business just a few feet away, literally, from the previous site in the Medbrook Building. The Rejuvenation Med Spa is situated in the Blake Center in Suite 4A off of Johnson Avenue. The business is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and by appointment and their new number is 304-848-9998. Walk-ins are also welcome. The photo above held by the Harrison County Chamber of Commerce was from the ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday with staff members present along with Council members John Wilson and Jeff Smell.

When it comes to operating a business in Bridgeport. Dr. Tim Peasak is no stranger to the ins and outs of what needs to be done. After all, he’s been involved with Bridgeport Express Care in its previous location on Main Street and its current site on Johnson Avenue for years.

Now, Peasak is adding to the list. This past weekend, Peasak opened up Rejuvenation Med Spa in Bridgeport. And there’s more good news than just another new business in the City of Bridgeport. Peasak will still be in town at the express care business.

“I’m still going to be doing both, which makes this unique,” said Peasak.

That may lead one to wonder how it’s possible. As it turns out it’s relatively simple. Peasak will be operating his new business that covers roughly 1,000 square feet in a freshly remodeled portion of the Medbrook Building that also house Bridgeport Express Care.

“Having the medical facility right there is certainly a big help,” said Peasak. “We’ll be co-using staff from Bridgeport Express Care as part of this.”

While most are aware of Bridgeport Express Care, some may be wondering just what is Rejuvenation Med Spa. It’s Aesthetic Medicine, said Peasak, which he said aims at helping people feel better about themselves by looking better.

“We want to make people happy with themselves with the way the look. We do, in layman’s terms, this would be considered an anti-aging process and clinic,” he said.

The services offered are many. Among the procedures available are Botox and fillers; laser treatments for hair reduction, skin rejuvenation, cellulite and fat reduction, body contouring, and the removal of vascular and hyper pigmented skin lesions, spider veins, stretch mark reduction, darkness under eyes scar revision, acne wrinkles, rosacea and skin tightening.

There is therapy for varicose vein removal; plasma rich therapy (or platement rich plasma therapy or PRP) for hair restoration and skin rejuvenation (a vampire facial). Men and women can receive hormone replacement therapy, there are weight loss programs including the HCG diet Micro needling for hair restoration, skin rejuvenation, scar resurfacing, acne, and stretch marks. Issues with double chins and eyelashes, along with chemical peels, are among the services at the new business.

Peasak is extremely excited to offer PRP Therapy, which will be one of the key focuses of the new business. He said it is a healthy, preventative, and proactive therapy utilizing an individual’s own plasma. PRP is used for many medical and aesthetic treatments, and is an ideal way to combat hair loss, he said.

“I’ve always done emergency and family medicine, but I’ve also always been interested in aesthetics on the medical front,” said Peasak. “There’s satisfaction in this line of work when you help people get better and with this the satisfaction comes from making people feel better about themselves.”

Peasak isn’t just doing this to be doing this. He is officially board certified, he said in Aesthetic Medicine. He’s also hired Traci Bailey, a local woman who Peasak said has a lot of experience with many of the services being offered and has 15 years of experience.

“I’m extremely excited about this new venture. It’s aimed at improving the self-esteem of individuals and their quality of life. To me, that’s a very big deal,” said Peasak.
