Two Individuals from Bridgeport were among the 59 people that had indictments returned against them by the September 2019 Harrison County Grand Jury under the direction of Prosecuting Attorney Rachel Romano.

Anthony Delbert Coleman and Joseph Michael Moore were the individuals from the city that had indictments returned against them. While the majority of the indictments were for Clarksburg residents, the list included five individuals whose addresses were listed as “homeless” in the press release sent out by Romano’s office.

Coleman, 39, was indicted on a pair of counts. He was indicted on one count of first-degree sexual assault and one count of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian, or person in position of trust.

Moore, 34, had just one indictment. He is alleged by indicted on one count of fleeing in a vehicle and showing a reckless indifference to the safety of others.

The grand jury has several cases to consider. Among them was the case of Donald Lawrence Campbell, II, of Clarksburg. He was indicted on one count of murder.

Campbell is charged with the murder of Jeffrey Alan “Jeff” Dye. The incident took place on Dawmont Road on June 1 at around 8:30 p.m.

An indictment is merely an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
