April is in full bloom at the library! Spring programming is underway as we are offering 64 programs for children, teens, families, and adults this month. As usual, we are continuing to offer our recurring programs you have seen before, and we have also added some new programs to the mix. If you haven’t attended our programs before, we welcome you to come out and enjoy one (or several!) this month. 

 

We have a fun month planned for children, teens, and families! Our Brilliant Beginnings Storytime will continue every Wednesday at 12:00 PM (except April 12th) and the Little Learners Storytime happens every Thursday at 3:00 PM. Both of these programs take place in our Children’s Department. On April 7th, join us for a Family Matinee showing of Peter Rabbit at 5:00 PM with popcorn provided.  We will be hosting a new program for teens called Blackout/Found Poetry Night on April 11th at 5:00 PM. Try out our 3D pens at 3D Doodles on April 12th at 3:00 PM. If you like gaming, you will enjoy "Switch" It Up on April 15th at 11:00 AM. We will have Legos available for Building Club also taking place on April 15th at 12:30 PM. A new program for children, Heroes of History, will be held on April 18th at 4:00 PM. We will be discussing Hellen Keller. Back for the third month is Beginning Ballet on April 21st at 3:30 PM. Help us welcome Mountaineer Therapy Dogs back for Reading to Dogs on April 25th at 6:00 PM.

 

Adults don’t have to miss out on the fun! On April 7th at 3:30 PM, we will be using our 3D Printer to create 3D printed tablespoons. Due to popular demand, there is a second offering of this program later in the month. Our popular painting class, Brush Hour, will take place on April 10th at 5:30 PM. Tech Savvy will be held on April 12th at 1:00 PM. This class is ideal for adults wanting to explore all that technology has to offer. We will be making Clay Charms in our crafting class on April 13th at 4:00 PM. Experience Shakespeare like never before at Shakespeareaoke (like Karaoke!) with the Rustic Mechanicals on April 14th at 5:00 PM.

 

There will be live music and performances at this event. Signing Made Easy returns on April 18th at 5:00 PM. This program is suitable for all ages. We will hold Terracotta Pot Painting on April 20th at 4:00 PM. We will be hosting a real estate expert to share Demystifying the Real Estate Buying & Selling Process on April 20th at 5:30 PM. Join us for a Matinee showing of The Princess Bride on April 21st at 1:00 PM with popcorn provided. Welcome the West Virginia Regional History Center for Preserving Your Family History with the WVRHC on April 24th at 5:00 PM. We will again be offering a Genealogy Roundtable on April 26th at 5:00 PM. For those who enjoyed our last course, Learn HTML, join us for Learn CSS on April 28th at 5:30 PM.
