We’re getting ready for summer to begin at the library!

 

May is right around the corner and we have some awesome programs coming up. This May we are offering over 50 programs for children, teens, families, and adults. As always, we strive to host programs that suit everyone’s interests, so come check us out! Please keep your eyes peeled for information coming soon about our Summer Reading Program, which will begin June 1.

 

Adults have some great programs lined up this month. On May 1 at 5 p.m., join us for a 3D Printing class where we will be making garden markers. Due to popular demand, there will be another offering of this class later in the month.

 

The Write Connection will meet on May 2 at 5:30 p.m. for aspiring and seasoned writers alike.

 

If you need help with technology, join us for Tech Savvy on May 3 at 1 p.m. Learn HTML with us on May 5 at 5:30 p.m.. This course is part of a series.

 

Our painting class, Brush Hour, will be held on May 8 at 5:30 p.m.

 

Join us for a matinee showing of King Richard with popcorn provided on May 9 at 1 p.m.

 

Enjoy live music? We will be hosting a concert by the folk duo Hungrytown on May 11 at 5 p.m.

 

Our crafting classes will be making Macramé Feathers on May 12 at 3:30 p.m., a Book Page Teapot on May 15 at 5 p.m, and a Spring Bird Garland on May 23 at 4 p.m.

 

Signing Made Easy will occur on May 16 at 5 p.m. This course welcomes all ages.

 

Our Genealogy Roundtable will meet on May 24 at 5 p.m. Our cross-stitch group, Stabby Stitches, will be stitching tulips on May 26 at 3:30 p.m. Learn CSS with us on May 26 at 5:30 p.m. This course is part of a series.

 

Children, teens, and families will also have plenty of programs this month. If your child is an aspiring writer, they can join us on May 3 at 4 p.m. for Young Wordsmiths.

 

We will have a family matinee showing of Lyle, Lyle Crocodile with popcorn provided on May 5 at 5 p.m.

Join us for 3D Doodles on May 10 at 3 p.m.

 

You are welcome to stop by for Afternoon Gaming on May 17 at 3 p.m.

 

Our weekly storytime for children aged 0-2, Brilliant Beginnings, occurs Wednesdays at noon and Little Learners, suited for ages 3-5, happens on Thursdays at 3 p.m.

 

Every Monday at 4 p.m., we host Girls Who Code. If interested in joining, please contact our Children’s Librarian. Our All-Ages Chess Club happens every Tuesday at 3 p.m. We hope to see you there!
