From the turkey on the table, to your family and friends, life is full of things we should be thankful for. This book is perfectly in tune with what children are thankful for such as play parks, pets, and especially their families. This is a warm and genuine book to share the true Thanksgiving spirit.

A Thanksgiving Turkey by Jillian Scheer is a classic picture book depicting the story of a wonderful tradition where a young boy and his grandfather hunt a turkey for Thanksgiving. There are beautiful watercolor depictions throughout the story that captures rural Virginia's beauty in this moving, intergenerational story.

Turkey Trouble by Wendi Silvano is a humorous picture book about a turkey trying to avoid becoming the main course. Turkey has an idea--what if he doesn't look like a turkey? What if he looks like another animal instead? After many hilarious attempts, Turkey comes up with the perfect disguise to make this Thanksgiving the best ever!

Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson is a sweet tale about animals gathering to share a meal together. The bear has no food to offer, but all the other woodland creatures share their food. Young readers will delight in discovering the special gift Bear has to share.

The Blue Table by Christopher Raschka is a book good for gathering around the table any time of year. Spare text paired with illustrations of a tabletop expanding as two families gather around it to give thanks. Bright colors and stunning collage illustrations make The Blue Table ideal for the youngest reader and for storytime sharing.
