March is here, which means we are offering tons of new programs for children, teens, and adults! We are so excited for Spring this year that we scheduled 70 programs for the month of March for our patrons to enjoy. We will still be offering our weekly recurring programs such as Hooks & Needles, Chess Club, and Storytimes, as well as our monthly programs including Dungeons & Dragons, Magic the Gathering, and our Books Clubs, but we are premiering quite a few new programs this month.

 

Starting with adults, our first 3D Printing class of the month will be on March 3^rd at 3:30 PM and we will be making pencil cups. Due to popular demand, there will be a second offering of this program later in the month. The Write Connection is our new writing group for adults to share their work and get tips on writing techniques. It will be on March 7^th at 5:30 PM. Tech Savvy, our technology help program for older adults will be on March 8^th at 1:00 PM. On March 9^th at 1:00 PM we will have a matinee showing of the Elvis (2022) movie with popcorn provided.  We will be holding a Photography Workshop with Amberly Photos on March 11^th at 12:00 PM for those interested in photography.

 

On March 16^th at 4:00 PM we will have a Paper Jewelry Workshop. The next installment of our Hobby Seekers program will be on March 20^th at 5:00 PM. This month we are focusing on calligraphy.  We will have a Live Showing of an Author Talk with Jernard A. Wells on March 21^st at 4:00 PM.  Signing Made Easy will be held on March 21^st at 5:00 PM. This class is ideal for all ages. Local author Peter Taylor will join us for an Author Talk on March 27^th at 5:00 PM. Join us again for Virtual Reality Night at the Library on March 29^th at 5:00 PM. Lastly, we will be hosting the Small Business Development Center to provide a Business Fundamentals course on March 29^th at 5:00 PM.

 

Several exciting things are on the docket for children and teens as well! On March 3^rd at 5:00 PM, join us for a Family Matinee showing of Sing with popcorn provided. Our monthly Picking Up S.T.E.A.M. program will be on March 14^th at 4:00 PM. Back for the second month is Beginning Ballet on March 17^th at 3:30 PM. Full S.T.E.A.M. Ahead will be held on March 17^th at 5:00 PM. We will provide the Legos for Building Club on March 18^th at 12:30 PM. Join us as we host Mountaineer Therapy Dogs for Reading to Dogs on March 28^th at 6:00 PM.

A very special event perfect for all ages will take place on March 16^th at 5:30 PM—Join us for a Jazz Performance by Bridgeport High School Jazz Ensemble!
