June flew by and we had so much fun during the first four weeks of our Summer Reading Program! July will be here in just a few days, and we have much more fun on the way for children, teens, families, and adults at the library! We are happy to offer our patrons over sixty programs and events during the month of July. Please keep in mind that the library will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day. Read on to see what programs are in store for July.

Join us for a matinee showing A Man Called Otto on July 27th at 1:00 PM.

Don’t forget, attending many of the programs above can earn you tickets to enter to win some really neat prizes for our Summer Reading Program! A code will be provided to you at any eligible program you attend. The Summer Reading Finale will be held at Deegan & Hinkle Lakes Park on July 29th at 4:00 PM. This evening will be packed with all-ages fun with games like cornhole, hula hoops, Simon Says (featuring our very own Simon the Sloth), water-balloon-a-librarian, and more. Those who prefer more relaxing activities can color, enjoy our summer music playlist, and play with the bubble maker. Light refreshments will be provided. Feel free to drop in or leave at any time. In the case of rain, the Summer Reading Finale will be at the Bridgeport Public Library. The prize drawing for Summer Reading 2023: All Together Now will be held on Monday, July 31st. No prizes will be given out at the finale.
