Advance Tickets for BHS's Class AA Semifinal Game with Bluefield Available through On-Line Purchase

For those wanting to purchase tickets in advance for Friday’s Bridgeport Class AA semifinal football contest at Bluefield, you won’t be able to do it at Bridgeport High School. According to BHS Principal Matt DeMotto there’s a good reason for it.

“There won’t be any pre-sale tickets due to the Thanksgiving break,” said DeMotto.

That doesn’t mean you can’t purchase tickets in advance to make getting into Mitchell Stadium at Bluefield an easier process. And after a three-hour trip, a bit of convenience may be sought.

DeMotto said fans can purchase tickets off of the WVSSAC Web site. They can click HERE to gofan.co for a way to get advance tickets for the contest.

Once there, tickets can be purchased for $8, according to the site. That is $1 more than you will be charged at the gate.

The site, as of Monday afternoon, did have the starting time incorrect as 7:30 p.m. Friday. The Indians and the Beavers will battle at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Regardless of how tickets are acquired, DeMotto would like to see plenty of red and white in the crowd.

“We’re hopeful that a lot of Bridgeport turns out for the game. We know it’s a three-hour trip, but our young men and coaches have performed exceptionally well this year,” said DeMotto. “They deserve the support of an appreciative community and I know the kids are grateful for their support. For those going, please be careful and see you at Mitchell Stadium.”

Bridgeport is ranked No 3 in Class AA with an 11-1 record. Bluefield is ranked No. 2 and also comes in at 11-1. The Beavers are the defending state champions.
