Bridgeport High's Boys Basketball Team Lands Trio of Players on Class AA All-State Honorable Mention List

Bridgeport High School's boys basketball team ended in the quarterfinals of the Class AA state tournament to Chapmanville. The loss left the team with a 17-8 record after falling to the eventual state champions.
 
The season also helped the Indians land a trio of players on the Class AA all-state honorable mention list as chosen by the West Virginia Sports Writers Association. Senior Brayden Lesher and juniors Tanner Bifano and Jake Bowen both were chosen to the team.
 
No players from Harrison County made the first, second or third teams this year in Class AA.
 
Lesher led the Indians this year with 16.4 points per game. He was the only BHS player to average in double figures.
 
Bowen, a forward, finished with 9.5 points per game. Bifano, the Indians' center, closed the year averaging 9.2 points per game.
