By Jeff Toquinto on November 16, 2015 via Connect-Bridgeport.com

The City of Bridgeport is once again getting recognition in a statewide publication. This time, however, it’s not individuals that are being singled out, but rather a place.

In a recent edition of “Morgantown,” a magazine done by the publishers of WVliving, Bridgeport’s own Pam Marra does a three-page story – complete with many photos – on the Charles Pointe development situated on State Route 279 and just off of Interstate 79 at the Jerry Dove Drive exit.

The article breaks down the planned $1.4 billion community and what’s taken place do date. There are also sections on places to eat, play and stay. Included in the article is a breakdown of eateries such as Mia Margherita, Mia Market, and Meagher’s Irish Pub.

For those not familiar with the Bridgeport Recreation Complex, a breakdown of the city-owned facility that is part of the development is included.  There is also discussion on other recreational opportunities, including many of the trails that permeate the development.

And for those needing a place to stay, the article talks about the lodging options available – as well as the Bridgeport Conference Center – that cater to locals and visitors alike. According to the article, the Bridgeport Conference Center hosts 50,000 people a year for every type of event and conference.

Along with the main article, a sidebar story is included as well. It focuses on the highly successful Bridgeport Farmer’s Market.

The magazine, along with other WVliving publications, are available at newsstands statewide.
