With almost no vacant space in the 30-plus year-old Meadowbrook Mall available, new businesses are going where they can. And the most recent one is located in a kiosk in front of The Gap.

 

According to Meadowbrook Mall Property Manager Marcello Lalama, the newest business at the mall is the Fanelli Boys, Inc. Lalama said it’s not the first retail location the company is located in.

 

“They primarily focus on things such as computer repair and cell phone repair,” said Lalama. “That’s just a few of the services they offer.”

 

Handouts from the company show they offer plenty of work on iPhones and various Smart Phones. The work they offer is on screen and hardware repair. They also offer screen repair on various models of iPads and iPods.

 

The company also offers standard computer services. Some of the services include diagnostic services, system clean up, virus removal, laptop screen repair and full system reloads. The company sends most of their hardware related repairs to their Wood County location in Parkersburg. The company’s work also includes six-month warranties. The company also offers discount inkjet and toner cartridges.

 

“They offer a lot in their 10x14 kiosk,” said Lalama. “No matter what the business is, it’s always good to see businesses coming into the mall.”

 

And they keep coming. Despite the age of the facility, the mall continues to prosper and recently completed a $5 million-plus renovation project. Lalama said the arrival of companies such as the Fanelli Boys is a good sign that the health of Bridgeport’s largest retail hub remains strong.

 

“Certainly we believe their arrival is another sign that we’re still on solid ground. Getting the new blood with these businesses is great for the mall and great for competition and we believe the customers end up winning,” said Lalama.

 

Along with the Bridgeport location and the Parkersburg 7^th street location, the Fanelli Boys can be found in the Grand Central Mall in Vienna, in Huntington, and at the Charleston Town Center Mall.
