Meadowbrook Mall Announces Arrival of Pair of New Permanent Businesses at Bridgeport Retail Hub

It’s not unusual for the Meadowbrook Mall to have new businesses this time of the year. With the holiday shopping season officially under way, Bridgeport’s retail hub sees several businesses that arrive to do business and then depart annually.

However, Mall Property Manager Marcello Lalama recently announced that there are also two new businesses at the mall that aren’t of the holiday variety. The businesses in question are actually permanent ones.

The first business is O Chi Reflexology. It is located across from Sears next to Books a Million and in the former West location. It covers 1,000 square feet.

“They offer a variety of services,” said Lalalma. “This is a place where you can go for massage, reflexology and acupressure.”

The former Dollar Tree spot that became vacant when that business relocated to Main Street in Bridgeport next to the new Shop ‘n Save also has a new permanent tenant. Lalama said Four Horsemen Comics and Gaming is also on the roster of tenants at the facility.

“They sell all kinds of collectibles, most noticeably comics, and they’re involved in gaming. They have space on site to have people come in and play competitive games. It’s a pretty popular concept,” said Lalama.

The space the business is occupying is a bit more than the other new business. Lalama said it covers 4,000 square feet.

“It’s always great to see new tenants come in.  They bring new life to the mall, particularly when they bring in something that’s different from other stores you’ve had in the past or have rarely been offered in the past,” said Lalama. “It gives our customers unique options that many will find refreshing.”

One of the biggest spaces still empty at the Meadowbrook Mall is the former space occupied by Gap. Lalama said negotiations are still going on for that space. Joe Bell of the Cafaro Company, which manages the mall and other retail outlets nationwide, has said the business in question is a national brand.
