Scottish Heritage Society of North Central WV presents the Annual Robert Burns Dinner.
Robert Burns is the national poet of Scotland. His poems touch a cord with most readers and range from expressions of love, to humorous events, to passionate statements about the beauty of the Scotland he lived in. Scots around the world celebrate Burns with a Burns Dinner, usually in late January.
Our Burns Dinner is open to all, you do not have to be a member of the Society to attend.
Our 2015 Dinner will be at Via Veneto in Bridgeport. It will be on Saturday, January 31st, with a social half hour at 5:30 pm and dinner and the program beginning at 6 pm.
Entertainment will be provided by Dan and Melinda Crawford Perttu. They will be entertaining us with Scottish fiddle music and will present a program on Scottish Step Dancing to liven our evening so brush off those dancing shoes!
Cost is $40 per person. Menu will include Scottish delicacies, including that illusive wee beastie, Haggis!
