The Harrison County Historical Society announces the rescheduled date, October 28th, for the “Harrison History Speaks” lecture, MEDICINE AND GUNS OF THE CIVIL WAR. The program, featuring Jim Mitchell, curator of the WV Cultural Center Museum in Charleston, and Johanna Mitchell. They will discuss and display medical instruments and weapons used during the Civil War conflict. The program will be held at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, beginning at 10:30 am, first discussing medical treatment; then at 1:00 pm, discussing the variety of weapons used in the conflict.
