Bridgeport, WV – Teens between the ages of thirteen and nineteen are invited to kick off Summer Reading by participating in a Read-A-Thon at the library on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm! Books will of course be available for the program, but teens are also welcome to bring a book as well!
The Bridgeport Public Library’s Summer 2014 List of Recommended Reads for Teens will be available beginning June 2, 2014. Stop by the library to get your copy!

About Summer Reading
Summer reading programs began in the 1890s as a way to encourage school children, particularly those in urban areas and not needed for farm work, to read during their summer vacation, use the library and develop the habit of reading. Libraries also now offer summer reading programs for adults, as well as children.
