Harrison County Historical Society To Hold Meeting
Harrison County Historical Society will hold a public meeting, February 21st, 2 to 4pm at the historic Vance House, 123 W. Main St., in Clarksburg. The public is invited. The gathering will feature a presentation by David Houchin, local historian, who will discuss the life of Phoebe Cunningham, late 18th- early 19th century personality who was captured by Indians, her children massacred, and in later years was thought to be part of a local Revolutionary War pension scandal.
