Bridgeport, WV – “American Tales and Tunes” is a Bridgeport Public Library “Read to the Rhythm” Summer Reading program for families with children between the ages of four and twelve! The program will be offered on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 12:00pm. Join us to kick off Summer Reading at the library!
Folk songs and folktales from across America come to life in this musical-filled adventure. The Bright Star Touring Theater company delved deep into American literature from the Jack Tales of the Appalachian region to the fishing docks of New England – and created a vibrant and energetic show that seamlessly blends these fantastic regional stories with classic American folk songs – from Shenandoah to Shady Grove.
