City Faces in Different Places

By Hannah Edwards on December 17, 2017 from City Faces

Please take a minute to meet this week’s City Face, Michayla Brown, sponsored by Higinbotham & Higinbotham, PLLC.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport? 26 years

Where are you originally from? I’ve lived in Bridgeport for my entire life

Are you married? No

Children? No

What is your favorite color? Teal

Where do you work? I’m a third grade teacher at Big Elm Elementary

Favorite Bridgeport spot? My friends and I enjoy spending time at The Social Tap to relax and catch up. We also love attending the Farmer’s Market on Sunday mornings. There’s nothing more comforting than sipping a cup of coffee while strolling from tent to tent, finding new treasures.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport? I enjoy traveling to Morgantown for various sites – anywhere from The Wow Factory to paint pottery to the escape room, XSCAPE!, for a critical thinking, live-action game.

Favorite place outside of WV? The hustle and bustle of New York City or the calm, serenity of the beach.

Favorite restaurant? Muriale’s Restaurant in Fairmont has the best gnocchi. We spend many family celebrations there.

Best childhood memory? Spending time with family at my Pupa and Nuna’s house. I can still remember every detail from their home at the end of the road and how everyone would always gather around the kitchen table to share moments from their day.

Favorite musical group? I can’t pin down a favorite musical group, as my music taste is fairly diverse. I listen to Hits radio, tranquil coffee shop tunes, and covers of songs. I can never resist singing along to songs from the early 2000’s, when I was in middle and high school.

Pets? A mischievous 3 month old beagle mix, Jaxson

Hobbies? Reading, diy-ing, and spending time with friends.

Interesting fact about you? I’m addicted to Pinterest, where I find creative crafts and food recipes to share with loved ones.
