City Faces in Different Places

By Hannah Edwards on July 08, 2018 from City Faces

Please take a moment to check out this week’s City Face, Megan Griffith.

How long have you lived in Bridgeport?  We are moving back to Bridgeport early August.

Where are you originally from?  Both of us are from Bridgeport, WV

Are you married?  Yes, I am married to Ben Griffith.

Children? Not yet, but someday we will.

What is your favorite color?  Mine is Pink and Ben’s is Red

Where do you work?  I am a corporate travel agent and work from home, Ben works at Leidos and is a DevOps Cloud Engineer.

Favorite Bridgeport spot?  Football field.

Favorite WV spot outside of Bridgeport?  My dad’s campsite at Shaver’s Fork in Bowden, WV and Camp KillKare in Colfax, WV which is a house overlooking Tygart River has been in Ben’s family for nearly 100 years and just recently has been restored and renovated!

Favorite place outside of WV?  San Diego, CA is our favorite place because it is the perfect temperature year round and there is so much to do in Southern California!

Favorite restaurant? Oliverio’s

Best childhood memory? Ben and I both agree that some of our best childhood memories were spending summers with other neighborhood kids. We used to swim, go on walks, play sports in the backyard, set up lemonade stands, play school, and walk to get ice cream.

Favorite musical group?  Definitely, Kenny Chesney! We have seen him in concert 3 times and are already planning the next!

Pets? We have 2 dogs, Gordon is a beagle mix and Jake is a black and tan coonhound.

Hobbies? We enjoy brewing beer, spending time with family and friends, and taking the dogs on walks.

Interesting fact about you? Ben and I started dating in high school. We dated though college and were together for almost six years before we got married. We have now been married for close to three years. We moved to Charlotte, NC for a few years right out of college but missed home so we decided to come back. We moved directly to Morgantown but knew we wanted to get back to Bridgeport as soon as possible. We have started renovations on our house and will be moving in early August and could not be more excited!
