Frankie's Furry Friends: "Feline Fridays" Featuring Precious

By Frankie Michelle Dennison on October 13, 2017 from Frankie's Furry Friends

The Humane Society of Harrison County, Inc. introduces a new facet to the “Frankie’s Furry Friends” blog. In an effort to introduce adoptable pets to the public, there will be occasional “Feline Fridays” and “Mutt Mondays,” each featuring a different pet available for adoption at the no-kill facility on Saltwell Road. Today’s blog features “Precious,” who is looking for her forever home.

We can't believe that Precious hasn't been adopted yet! She loves to hang out in the branches on the outside patio, so people often miss seeing her. Precious is shy, but she is also very affectionate. She came from a home with other cats and she has done well with the cats in our cat rooms. We would not recommend dogs as she would most likely hide to avoid them.

Precious is four years old, is up to date on vaccinations, tested negative for Feline Aids and Leukemia, and is spayed. She also has a partially sponsored adoption fee, thanks to a generous individual, making her only $45 to adopt to an approved home.

Please remember, we are open seven days a week from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

During the month of October, we will open late on October 17 and 26. We will remain open until 6 p.m. those evenings in honor of Adopt a Shelter Dog Month.

For more information on the Humane Society of Harrison County, Inc., visit its Web site at
