Severe Thunderstorm Warning, Extended Wind Advisory in Effect

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a severe thunderstorm warning through 5:45 p.m. for Doddridge, West Central Taylor, Northern Gilmer, Lewis, East Central Tyler and Harrison counties.
At 5:15 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Fairview to near Jacksonburg to 8 miles south of West Union to 11 miles west of Jackson Mill to Glenville, moving east at 55 miles per hour.
Hazard: 60 miles per hour wind gusts.
Sorce: Radar indicated.
Impact: Expect damage to roofs, siding and trees.
Locations impacted include Bridgeport, Clarksburg, Weston, Glenville, Shinnston, Stonewood, Nutter Fort, Salem, Lumberport, West Union, Anmoore, Jackson’s Mill, Stonewall Jackson, West Milford, Lost Creek, Jane Lew, Wolf Summit, Alum Bridge, Center Point and Sedalia.
For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in Charleston.
A wind advisory remains in effect through 5 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12 for above-mentioned counties and others. See the list HERE.
South winds 10 to 20 miles per hour with gusts of 40 to 50 miles per hour are expected.
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
