About The Nut Job (2014) (PG)
Set in fictional Oakton, The Nut Job follows the travails of Surly, a mischievous squirrel and his rat friend Buddy, who plan a nut-store heist of outrageous proportions and unwittingly find themselves embroiled in a complicated adventure.
The Nut Job is based on the award winning short film “Surly Squirrel” by Peter Lepeniotis. It is ToonBox Entertainment’s first feature length film. This fun-filled movie will follow Surly and his rat friend “Buddy”, two street-wise rodents, as their mischievous antics upset the tranquility of their city park home. Due to a raging fire, our reluctant heroes will be cast out from their safe surroundings and thrown into hilarious hardships, culminating in a convoluted bank heist. Through their misadventures they will make a shattering discovery: that “home” is where they truly belong.
The Nut Job is a warm heartfelt story with plenty of comedy, chills, spills and……. nuts!
