Preston will play at B-U today in an elimination game.
The Indians grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first when Grant Lively walked with the bases loaded, bringing in Mark Biafore who had also walked previously in the inning.
Lively drew another bases-loaded walk to bring in Zach Rohrig, who singled to lead off the bottom of the third, to make it 2-0. Rowen Michaelis immediately followed with a bases-loaded walk, scoring Dylan Duvall. Ashton Curry then busted the game open with a two-run double that brought in Biafore and Lively.
Michaelis crossed the plate on a passed ball to make it 6-0 leading to a sacrifice fly from Kasen Baun that scored Curry.
The final run of the inning came after Brody Pierce singled, stole second and scored on Rohrig’s single.
The Indians tacked on a run in the fourth as Biafore doubled and scored on an error.
Rohrig drew a one-out walk in the fifth and scored on Biafore’s second double of the game to make it 10-0 and force the mercy rule into effect.
Biafore and Rohrig each finished with two hits and two runs. Lively and Curry each had two RBIs.
