Janice Lough Warder is a member of the BHS Class of 1968. She is currently the District Attorney of Cooke County, Texas, having been elected in 2008. She served for over 14 years as the judge of the Criminal District Court of Dallas County, presiding exclusively over felony cases. Prior to that, she was a prosecutor with the Dallas County District Attorney's Office for 12 years, eventually serving as chief prosecutor in the 291st Judicial Court and the 203rd Judicial District Court. She also served as Division Chief of the Juvenile and Misdemeanor divisions and as an Administrative Chief Felony Prosecutor, supervising one fourth of the felony prosecutors in the Dallas office. Mrs. Warder has worked to improve the judicial system in her area by helping to develop programs for improved probation supervision and has worked to reduce drug addiction. She is married to Lee Warder, the retired president of a lamp company. They have one son and two grandsons.
