James Frush graduated from BHS in 1936. After serving in the U.S. Army during World War II, he returned to Bridgeport to become the town's first real estate broker.
He served as PTA president for Johnson Elementary, Bridgeport Junior High and Bridgeport High School. He served as band patron president and led a fundraising drive for new uniforms. He was involved in projects to provide bleachers and lights for the football field and for a new field house and press box. Jim was past president of the Bridgeport Lions Club and was recognized for his service as Minstrel Director and received the "Leonard Jarrett Award" for distinguished service for sight and hearing.
