The Basics: The 2024 All In Foster Care Summit, themed "Finding Beauty in Brokenness," is dedicated to advancing the state of foster care in West Virginia by fostering collaboration between faith communities, child welfare professionals, families, and organizations. With West Virginia facing significant challenges in its foster care system, this Summit aims to inspire innovative solutions and nurture unity to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and families.
Who Should Attend: This Summit is designed for members of the West Virginia faith community, church leaders, foster and kinship families, child welfare professionals, and anyone passionate about enhancing the lives of vulnerable children and families in West Virginia.
Summit Highlights:
- A presentation by Trent Taylor, a foster care alum, mentor, author, and CEO, that will share his journey from trauma to triumph.
- Director Darrell Missey of Missouri Children’s Division will discuss and present how churches can make a difference in child welfare.
- An inspirational talk by Jillana Goble, founder of Every Child Oregon, sharing her transformative experience as a foster and adoptive parent.
- Panel discussion featuring foster parents sharing real-life stories about the impact of fostering on their families.
The All In Foster Care Summit is a Chestnut Mountain Village event.
Chestnut Mountain Village, a ministry of Chestnut Mountain Ranch, is dedicated to creating Christ-centered communities to provide hope and homes for vulnerable kids and families in West Virginia. The Village guides churches and equips them to care for vulnerable children and families, fostering unity and support within communities.
