Girls in Aviation Day

North Central West Virginia is hosting its second annual Girls in Aviation Day! This free community event is hosted by the area's aerospace industry partners and encourages participation in aviation activities and stem. The event will be held on Saturday, Sept. 23 from 10am to 2pm at the Robert C. Byrd National Aerospace Education Center (1050 East Benedum Industrial Drive, Bridgeport, WV 26330).

A variety of hands-on activities will be available, including flight simulators, static display of aircraft, an aviation photo booth, drones, and more. The day is designed to engage middle and high school girls to develop an interest in aviation, but all ages and genders are welcome.
