All Saints Catholic Church Holds First Kayaking Event

Despite the rain and the cooler temperatures, parishioners from All Saints Catholic Church in Bridgeport made their first Kayaking Saints

Parishioners paddled their way up the Monongahela River to the point where the Tygart and the West Fork meet. Nicholas Snodgrass of All Saints was the event organizer.
“We had a great time with our Church Family and was so nice getting those of all ages out enjoying God's beautiful creation. God is Good and I can’t thank our faith community enough for coming out and participating making this event possible,” said Snodgrass
Snodgrass is an avid kayaker and came to Father Walt Jagela, the pastor of All Saints, with the idea for the event. After Father Walt enthusiastically blessed the event, Snodgrass got to work to find rentable kayaks for those parishioners who did not have their own.
He did not have to go far. Snodgrass connected with Julie Yeargo, a resident of Bridgeport who rents kayaks through her business "Explore WV."
